◆EN◆ Alexandra Sophie (b. 1992) is a photographer and multidisciplinary artist based in Franche-Comté, France. Unable to pursue school due to her mental health issues from age 13, she discovered photography with her younger sisters in the family garden. Her colorful imagery, described as poetic, fresh and feminine quickly gained recognition: by age 22, Alexandra was a regular contributor to Vogue and Harper's Bazaar internationally. In 2018, she was named one of Forbes' 30 under 30. Despite being self-taught Alexandra obtains her Bachelor's degree in Photography and Videography from Gobelins in 2023. Since 2024 and after a training in silver-smithing, Alexandra expanded her work into exploring different materials such as nacre, brass and silver. In her work, Alexandra hopes to question normality, abnormality and paranormal and our known reality - concepts which caused her a lot of troubles - and our place and rights within nature itself.

◆FR◆ Photographe et artiste plasticienne née en 1992, Alexandra vit et travaille en Franche-Comté. Devant cesser sa scolarité à l'âge de 13 ans en raison de ses problèmes de santé, elle découvre la photographie en mettant en scène ses sœurs dans le jardin familial. Son travail, décrit comme poétique, frais et féminin, évolue rapidement et dès ses 22 ans, Alexandra devient contributrice régulière de Vogue et Harper's Bazaar à l'international. En 2018, Forbes la nomme l'une des "30 under 30", puis elle obtient en VAE son Bachelor Photographe et Vidéaste aux Gobelins en 2023. À partir de 2024 et désormais enrichie d'une formation en orfèvrerie, sa pratique s'élargie au travail d'autres médiums, notamment la nacre, le laiton ou l'argent. Dans son travail, Alexandra questionne les fines, si celles-ci existent, limites entre le normal, l'anormal et le paranormal - ainsi que notre place et droits au coeur de la nature.
